Formerly known as Victor's Hollow, this city was once home to the famed coliseum known across Orsterra. Now, the seat of power of the Consiglio resides here; the city a paragon of splendid architecture and fortified defenses.

This tribe of hunters reside in these forests, even after a millennia of history. Most of them never leave the village, and thus their way of speaking is very archaic compared to the modern tongue. It is rumoured that they can transform into beasts themselves.

Once a bustling mining town filled with adventurers seeking riches and gold, Orewell is now a dilapidated place, where only vagrants and criminals reside now. The gold vein had run dry for centuries, and nothing but dust and rocks litter the hollow quarry.

Formerly known as Bolderfall and the largest settlement in the cliftlands, as well as the birthplace and home to House Ravus. The steep incline of cliffs, hills and precipes fills this city with steep steps and winding roads.

This small, quiet town once known as Duskbarrow is home to many ancient ruins, notably the Ruins of Eld that lay due north of the settlement. Some of the townspeople have devoted their life interpreting and researching these ruins.

Surrounded by stark, red cliffs all around this lively village, Ronové is the largest quarrying town in the Republic, and by extension, all of Orsterra. Most villagers here grow up and inherit the trade of excavating stone and ores.

Once a Farnessan fortress, Saintsbridge is one of the oldest cities in Orsterra, and has quite the extensive history. It was captured by Republic forces in Year 2121 in The Great Siege of Saintsbridge, and is now part of Republic territory.

This charming town sits around the bend of the Phrygian River, and has access to the lushness of the flora and fauna that surrounds it. Home to famouse apothecarists, Asclepia also deals in the trade of rare herbs and medicines.

Also known as Flamesgrace, the capital of the Holy See of Farnessa resides in this large cathedral city, surrounded by tall walls and perpetually blanketed in snow. The papacy and the Curia make their headquarters here.

Once a pious village devoted to the pilgrimage of the Sacred Flame, Karst is now a sleepy little town buried in endless snow. Despite appearances, it tries to hide many dark secrets — secrets that are best left untold.

The most northern settlement in all of Orsterra, Invernus is a surprisingly large city, comprised mostly of Farnessa's military and researchers. The city runs on natural steam power, with cogs and wheels keeping the city warm despite the freezing weather.

Atlasdam, the seat of learning. Home to the Royal College of Atlasdam, many scholars flock to this great city in their thirst for knowledge. Due to the mountains in the north breaking the cold front, the city enjoys a much more pleasant climate.

Eastern Farnessa enjoys rolling plains and hills, and the old city of royal lineage of Judex is of no exception. The upper crust of society resides in its halls, embroiled in their own reminiscence of nobler days.

Surrounded in fields of golden wheat, Vespermill is a humble farming village where most of Orsterra's produce and crops are sourced from. Acres of windmills sprawling across the farmlands paints the picture of these lands.

Beautiful gardens, flowing channels of water and aqueducts, and tall, white spires make up of the glittering capital of the Atmahata Kingdom. The monarchy resides here, as well as the Mandala that governs these lands.

Tucked beneath a large, cavernous rock formation, Sunshade is widely known as the 'City of Pleasures'; brothels, dancers, and all other sorts of seedy entertainment proliferate the streets here. Some, if not most, don't have a choice.

The former capital of the Triberia Kingdom, this city has been ravaged and rebuilt many times now due to the civil unrest prior to Atman rule. Now, it is a trading post with the Republic of Cagliostro. Many royals are buried in the nearby catacombs.

A small town in the middle of the Marsali Desert, Kabul Shahi is centered around a large oasis of spring water. It serves as a welcome respite for many travelers attempting to brave the desert, and a pit spot to Marsalim.

Once a humble village of Fereian roots, Beizi Temple is now settled and ruled by the warrior clan of House Yang. They have developed this mountainous village into a special dojo dedicated to martial arts training. Those who seek to master their arts make the perilous journey to come here.

Since its creation, Iwahate has lived through dynasties and years of ruling, persisting through the tests of time again and again. Tucked within the misty mountains of the Fereian Range, it is a city full of stone masons and smiths all dedicated to their craft.

Grandport is the largest city in Tarpuz as well as its capital, being home to Orsterra's largest naval and merchant port. All sorts of ships come and pass through Grandport. The Admiralty governs the trade routes with their naval might and fleet of ships.

Goldshore is named aptly for the golden beaches it is surrounded with. Housing Orsterra's second largest cathedral for The Light of the Sacred Flame, it is a city of both devouts and artisans who fashion the golden sands into stained glass masterpieces.

The Ruins of Eld is the site of very old and ancient ruins of a long-lost civilization. The ruins go underground, presumably buried by the earth after it was lost to the ravages of time.

The Forest of Lemegeton lies due northwest of Almadel, and serves as military training grounds for many of the Republic's military recruits and soliders alike. The woods are winding and thick, making it easy to become lost in.

This old grotto faces the open Agrippan Sea, smells of dank seawater and something briny. Bandits and other wanted criminals have made this their hideout, but they never linger long for when the tide rises, it is near impossible to navigate the caverns.

The Whisperwood is Orsterra's largest forest and home to the ancient hunting tribe of the S'warkii. Due to its expanse, and the protective wards that the beastmen have put in place, if you aren't with a seasoned hunter from the tribe, it is near impossible to navigate through these woods.

The Carrion Caves were once used as a burial ground for criminals who were publically hanged under orders of House Ravus. Bodies were simply tossed into this stinking cavern, without so much a proper burial. These caves aren't used anymore, but some say it is haunted to this day.

This beautiful glade just south of Pallimonte and a day's journey from Asclepia is a unique meadow where only certain rare plants and herbs grow. Many apothecarists make the dangerous journey here to make potent medicines and poultices.

The only access to southern Cagliostro is through the Bolderfall Pass. Here, the rocks become more sharp in incline, and tall cliffs surround the roads. Bandits and highwaymen camp this checkpoint in order to make a quick penny from unsuspecting victims.

The Quarry is the large excavation site north of Ronové, where most of the Republic's precious ores and stone is quarried and mined from its depths. Due to its size and resemblance to a giant, gaping hole, it is also known as The Pit.

The Forest of Rubeh is a dark wooded area north of Orewell. With the bluffs sheltering it from all sides save for a narrow passage from the south, the woods are perpetually shrouded in darkness. Lately, it is occupied by a camp of bandits.

Dragonsong Fane is a set of old ruins known to few, settled within a cave south of Orewell. Many of the ruins and architecture seems to suggest that the people in its time built it as an altar to worship dragons, thought to be extinct in the current day.

These old ruins within the cavern south of Asclepia used to house the terribly ill when south of Orsterra was ravaged by a plague centuries ago. Many of them were left to die here, as there was no cure for the plague. Not many know of this place. The elders in town will refuse to speak about it.

Adjacent to Saintsbridge lies Murkwood; an old and quiet wooded area that not many dare to enter. It is said that the souls that were lost to the great Siege of Saintsbridge continue to haunt these parts, as the forest is perpetually in a dense dog.

An abandoned shrine of unknown origins sit on a small isle in the middle of Lake Calenhad. It is rumoured that a spirit dwells there, and that all of the lake is under her guardianship. Only the foolhardy dare approach the isle, as the shrine is said to be cursed.

It is postured that possibly, some time ago, this used to be a site of worship for cait siths. As a result, an abnormal amount of cats flock to this cavern, where the grotto inside is always fresh with fish to their feline delight.

The site of two, roaring majestic waterfalls, where the runoff from the bluffs of the cliflands meet the waters of the riverlands. A beautiful place to camp and to watch the stars at night, it is also located close to the Atmahata border and a favourite pit stop towards Sunshade.

If one wasn't looking for this place, it would be quite easy to miss on the western road towards the capital, Tharsis. It is where the ancient race of Jotunn is said to lie, slumbering within its frozen depths. No one has actually ever saw one, though, but the monsters here have deterred most from finding out.

Prior to the Farnessan papacy, this was a catacombs for many of the previous Archbishops that ruled old Flamesgrace. Now, this place is forgotten — those who's names have been struck from history, thanks to House Farnessa.

Though few little have seen with their own eyes, there is a dragon that roams the Silent Tundras in search for prey. Oddly enough, it isn't known to attack humans, preferring beasts and monsters to fill its appetite. This is its nesting grounds, and most stay far away.

Once a house of worship, the Lorn Cathedral is now retrofitted as a research base dedicated to producing automata at a large scale. The facilities are located underground, where only restricted personnel are allowed to enter.

One would find mostly alpine trees and frozen soil here in the Whitewood. A plethora of tundra fauna such as small game and foxes are hunted by villagers for food and resources. It isn't uncommon to see hunter traps around the forest from time to time.

Once a beautiful, large manor belonging to a retired Archbishop, it is now made the headquarters of the fearsome Obsidian Wings. A group of ruthless assassins who will take on any mark for money, many stay far, far away from this manor of wickedness.

Nestled within the mountains north of Atlasdam, this seemed to be the previous capital of the Atlasdam royalty before the city was relocated further south. Now, only ruins of the castle stands within the empty valley — with nothing but the wind and dust as its company.

The cold chill of the northern winds will whittle one down to their bones, as a perpetual shade is cast in the forest; sunlight blotted out by the thick, coniferous trees. None dare come venture too deeply in this forest, for it is said that a fearsome direwolf and its pack roam these lands.

Once, long ago, the residents of Vespermill were plagued by famine and fires. They turned to a cult that advised them to utilize black magic to reverse their ill fortune. Many of the villager's young were sacrificed in this cave. Unsurprisingly, this did nothing for the villagers. The cult is long gone now, and no one dares to come here anymore.

The Whistlewood is a familiar and beloved place for many residents of Atlasdam. The forest's bountiful resources and beautiful scenery makes it a favourite place for many citizens to come spend time in. Aside from some wild hogs that can get a bit territorial, the woods are quite safe.

While the pilgrimage of the Sacred Flames can be undertaken by any devout, a special test set aside for the chosen Torchbearer must first begin here, in the Cave of Origin. To brave nature's hazard, and bring the Flame to alight the brazier deep within the cave, will earn them the right to continue their journey.

The tumultuous waves of the Gulf of Diomedes increase in intensity and gather into several swirling whirlpools, creating a dangerous undertow that surges beneath and around this cave. With many eddies and pools within its depths, sometimes paths will be blocked by the tide, making it very dangerous to navigate.

Once, Sunshade was occupied by Marsalim royals. Now, the catacombs have been deigned as a graveyard for people of all rank — commoners, criminals, and brigands are placed to rest here. The dead does not discriminate, they say, and thus the people of Sunshade continue to bury their dead here.

Tall rock formations and strong winds have created a phenomenon where the sharp, jagged features of the terrain causes a low, whistling sound that rings throughout the caverns. Sometimes, it even sounds like a voice calling out to you. Whatever it may be, many feel an uncanny presence in these caves. Best not to linger too long.

A stone dais in the middle of the desert, with rocks arranged to create a fighting ring. This is the Circle of Proving; an ancient site where feuding clans will meet one another in an honourable duel to the death. Now mostly obsolete, it still carries a cultural significance to the people of Atmahata.

The loathsome beastmen known as 'lizardmen' (half-man, half-reptile) make their lair here in these caves, deep beneath the dunes of the Marsali Desert. They prove to be a constant headache for Marsalim, often pillaging merchant wagons and travelers, and at times, even resorting to eating them.

In order to receive entry to the Black Market, you must be invited by an existing member. Here, people use aliases and masks to obscure their true identities. All sorts of illegal goods can be purchased here, if you know where to look and who to ask. And most importantly, if you have the money.

Quicksand Caves is as dangerous as its name implies. Located within a cavern below the desert, grains of sand is constantly being sifted from above, while the cavern floors are riddled with quicksand pits. One misstep can lead to your death.

The final resting place for King Khalim and his descendants; the previous king of Triberia. Now, these catacombs are abandoned, leaving it to the demise of eventual decay and erosion by nature. Only a few faithful continue to come here to pay respects.

The Tomb of Kings is a mausoleum reserved for the royal family of Atmahata. Only members of Clan Atma are allowed to be buried here; likewise, only members of the royal family are allowed to visit these sacred grounds, save for the groundskeeper who takes care of tending the flowers.

The Lotus Dais is a large garden personally sponsored by the Atmahatan monarchy. This garden contains virtually every flora species native to Orsterra, with a few exotic breeds brought from overseas. This allows the monarchy access to virtually every plant known to man — and with it, the knowledge to brew all manners of potions... and venoms.

The Path to Enlightenment is an obstacle course used by the Beizi Temple, designed for students on the cusp of graduation. Those who pass this test will be allowed to bear the right of being called a master of Beizi, and will then set forth on their own personal journey henceforth.

The Shrine of the Ancestor is a temple built on top of a cliff overlooking Samsara, dedicated to the kingdom's patron goddess Winnehild. Many come here to pray for victory in upcoming battles, or simply to wish for good fortune.

The Untouched Sanctum is a long-forgotten cave filled with ancient Fereian history. This is said to be the final resting place for Prince Beowulf, the last royal of the Ventus Dynasty. Relics and other items from millennia past can be found here, crumbling to dust.

Central Pass is a crosswords, in the most literal sense. Roads from Samsara, Beizi Temple, and Iwahate intersect at this point. The northeastern path will eventually lead to the Atmahatan-Tarpuz border, where it will extend into Suliman's Esplanade, cutting into Tarpuz territory.

The haunted Spectrewoods is said to be infested with spirits of the dead and other unholy beings. A protective ward is placed at the edge of the forest, by way of holy talismans strung together by blessed ropes. While it will keep the paranormal at bay, it does nothing to stop the living from crossing over its threshold.

The road leading up north from Atmahata's Central Pass will quickly evolve into rolling hills overlooking the beautiful blue waters of the ocean. This easy, even-paved road is called Suliman's Esplanade, and will directly lead all travelers north to Cargo Bay.

The Cliffs of Maiya sits just east of Ersatz, looking over the shores of Orsterra Bay. Twists and turns and steep cliffs make this a difficult place to traverse, and many aerial beasts and other creatures of fowl nature make these hard-to-reach places their nesting grounds.

The Moonstruck Coast is a well-traversed route connecting from Suliman's Esplanade all the way towards Grandport. The path starting from the south takes the traveler through rolling hills of green, then through glittering sands of the beaches, to low tide pools and basalt rocks, and then finally, to the capital.

The Captain's Bain is an underground lake where seawater has gathered in the cavern's depths. In the midst of the grotto is an old, rotting ship. It is rumoured that the infamous Captain Goldbeard has buried his treasure somewhere here, but if he did, it's picked clean long ago.

The Sapphire Spring is a natural hot spring purported to have medicinal properties, due to the high mineral content in its waters as well as the geology from where the water wells up. It is located in the thick of a forest atop a steep cliff, but the climb is worth the trip — or so they say.

A majority of goods and cargo are often offloaded here at Cargo Bay to avoid congestion at Grandport, making this a purely mercantile base for most ships. Some boats are in the business of ferrying citizens directly to Grandport's harbour.

A small stretch of land that comprises of low-lying tides and eddies connects the island of Grandport and the mainland, is the Salt Lochs; salt deposits here are higher than normal, creating a very glassy surface of the waters that appears to be like mirrors reflecting the skies above.

The Lost King's Slumber is a small alcove located north of the Salt Lochs. Due to the difficult access to this small hole on the side of the cliff facing the ocean waters, only a few seasoned adventurers have been able to find this place. It's said that a dragon dwells within its depths.

The Seaside Grotto is a spot favoured by fishermen and crabbers looking to harvest any marine edibles that have washed up from the low tides of the ocean. Due to its proximity to the ocean, it can only be accessed at certain hours of the day when the tides recede, revealing its entrance.

The very rare Azure Star Sapphire gem is mined from the Caves of Azure; this precious gemstone adorning the Admiral's Brooch and a shade of the beautiful sea. Because of its cultural significance and rarity, guards are posted on patrol, keeping watch over the caves. Only certified prospectors are allowed access.

The Goldshore Cathedral is the final destination for many pilgrims on their journey to carry the torch of the Sacred Flame from Tharsis. Beautifully adorned with the best stained glass work from local artisans, the church is a sight to behold, instilling a sense of duty and devotion in the faithful.

The Grand Amphitheatre is the place for the greatest entertainment in Orsterra; the rich and privileged travel from far and wide to attend its famous theatre plays put together by Tarpuz' finest troupe of actors and entertainers. Here, one can bear witness to the finest display of talents that the sovereign state has to offer.
